Amala Studio is owned and operated by Angela Manning. With twenty years of waxing and sugaring experience out of our private studio in Lynnwood. You’ll get to know Angela as she gets to know you. The same hands, every appointment.
I’ve been in this business since shortly after high school. A got my first wax at a salon in Bellevue Square Mall, and a few years later, I was the one giving them. I was trained at Greenwood Academy of Hair in Seattle, started behind the table at Wax On, and helped a friend open a Seattle studio called Wax Sabbath in 2011.
In 2014 I opened my own location in Bothell. Two years in, sadly the building burned down so I worked out of a small room in a Lynnwood salon for a year while I built out my next space in Mountlake Terrace that I ran from 2018 to 2021. I moved out of state for a couple years as I away cared for my in North Carolina. I always missed the Seattle area, so once that chapter was closed, I came back and opened the current Lynnwood studio.
I’m lucky to say I have clients who started seeing me in Bothell still drive up. Some of them have been coming for over a decade.

Angela does the wax, runs the books, answers the texts, and remembers you on the next visit. It's also why most of her regulars have been coming for over a decade.
What It’s Like In the Room
We don't sell products. We don't have an upsell script.
Appointments are spaced wide enough to actually talk: about whatever's going on with you, or about nothing, depending on the day.
We try to remember the names of your kids and what's happening at your job.
The work itself is thorough. Every hair, including the spots most studios skip. Wax or sugar, whichever your skin prefers. If something's too intense, we slow down or stop.
We aim for a pleasant experience as well as a good service.
